Nauti-Control hub firmware 3.4.0 (stable, released 2026-11-03)

This package is produced by tools/release.py in the Controller-Firmware repo and
uploaded whole to the nauti-control.com firmware plugin. Every file below is
listed in versioninfo.json with its size and SHA-256; the plugin, the mobile app
and the hub itself each re-check the hash before an image is used.

Files
versioninfo.json manifest: version, channel, notes, requires,
                                   per-variant files with size + sha256
  README.txt this file
firmware-v3.4.0-seatalk.bin OTA app image for the seatalk hub -> app slot
firmware-v3.4.0-seatalk-complete.bin 4 MB merged USB image (web flasher, esptool 0x0)
firmware-v3.4.0-n2k.bin OTA app image for the n2k hub -> app slot
firmware-v3.4.0-n2k-complete.bin 4 MB merged USB image (web flasher, esptool 0x0)
filesystem-v3.4.0.bin OTA filesystem (SPIFFS) image -> spiffs partition

Installing
In-app: the Nauti-Control app offers this release when it is newer than the
hub's firmware and the hub's variantId matches. Firmware first, reboot, then
the filesystem, reboot. The hub verifies variant, size, image marker and
SHA-256 before committing and boots the old image back if the new one does
not prove itself within a minute.
By hand: hub web page /update accepts the firmware-v*-<variant>.bin and
  filesystem-v*.bin files. USB: esptool.py write_flash 0x0 <complete.bin>.

Variant ids: seatalk, n2k, nke (lower-case, as the hub reports variantId).
Each app image carries a NautiImageDesc marker at offset 0x120 naming its
product, variant and version; the hub refuses an image whose marker does not
match it. Format reference: docs/DIST_FORMAT.md in the firmware repo.

Notes
Route following, navigation and SeaTalk data over Wi-Fi, and safer firmware updates from the app.
  - Your autopilot can follow a route from the app, with the pilot's 'Turn to waypoint?' prompts and the end of the route shown in the apps and on your watch
  - Navigation over Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth
  - SeaTalk1 data and autopilot commands bridged to OpenCPN ($STALK over Wi-Fi, beta)
  - Update your hub's firmware from the app, over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi
  - The hub only installs firmware made for it, and refuses a damaged download
  - If a new version doesn't start properly, the hub goes back to the previous one automatically
  - During an update the hub pauses live data to make room, and restarts by itself if anything goes wrong
