B&G, Simrad & Lowrance Autopilot Support for N2K Wireless Controller

N2K Wireless Controller Adds Support for Compatible B&G, Simrad & Lowrance Autopilot Systems

We’re pleased to announce expanded autopilot support for the N2K Wireless Controller, bringing wireless control to a wider range of compatible B&G, Simrad and Lowrance autopilot systems.

This update allows owners of supported NMEA 2000 autopilot systems to control their pilot from the Nauti-Control ecosystem, including phones, tablets, smartwatches, Garmin watches, RF remotes and the web interface.

Wireless Autopilot Control for Compatible Systems

Many B&G, Simrad and Lowrance autopilot installations use network-based pilot controls such as dedicated pilot keypads or wireless remote systems.

The N2K Wireless Controller is designed to communicate with compatible autopilots over the vessel’s NMEA 2000 network, providing remote access to common pilot functions from modern wireless devices.

Once connected to your NMEA 2000 backbone, compatible autopilots can be controlled from:

  • Android phones and tablets
  • iPhone and iPad
  • Apple Watch
  • Wear OS smartwatches
  • Garmin watches
  • Nauti-Control RF remotes
  • Web browser interface

Whether you are trimming sails, moving around the deck, handling lines or relaxing in the cockpit, autopilot control is always within reach.

Supported Autopilot Functions

The N2K Wireless Controller supports common pilot commands used by compatible B&G, Simrad and Lowrance systems, including:

  • +1° heading adjustment
  • -1° heading adjustment
  • +10° heading adjustment
  • -10° heading adjustment
  • Auto mode
  • Standby mode
  • Mode

Available functions depend on the connected autopilot system, the vessel configuration and the features enabled on the pilot.

Compatible Autopilot Families

Compatibility is intended for autopilot systems using the same NMEA 2000 pilot control behaviour as supported B&G, Simrad and Lowrance control devices.

This includes many systems built around:

  • B&G NAC series autopilot computers
  • Simrad AC series autopilot computers
  • Simrad AP series autopilot systems
  • Compatible Lowrance autopilot systems using the same NMEA 2000 pilot control architecture

This support also complements our dedicated compatibility for Simrad TP22 and TP32 tiller pilots, giving owners of both tiller and below-deck autopilot systems a modern wireless control option.

Part of the Nauti-Control Ecosystem

The N2K Wireless Controller shares live pilot state and control across the full Nauti-Control platform.

That means you can view or control compatible autopilots from your phone, tablet, Apple Watch, Wear OS watch, Garmin watch, RF remote or web browser.

For example, one crew member can monitor wind and speed from a Garmin watch while another controls the autopilot from an iPhone or Android device.

All connected devices remain synchronised with the current pilot mode, target heading and lock status.

Simple Installation

Installation is straightforward:

  1. Connect the N2K Wireless Controller to your NMEA 2000 backbone.
  2. Select the appropriate autopilot type in the controller setup page.
  3. Pair your preferred devices or remotes.
  4. Start controlling your autopilot wirelessly.

No modifications to the autopilot computer or boat network are required.

Available Now

Support for compatible B&G, Simrad and Lowrance autopilot systems is available now in the latest N2K Wireless Controller firmware and companion applications.

If your boat uses a compatible NMEA 2000 autopilot system, the N2K Wireless Controller provides a flexible wireless control option for modern connected boats.
