IF you have a NMEA/ST 5 pin socket such as above on your boat then you will need to rin a wire from pin 4 (Seatalk Data) to the Middle Data Pin on the Nauti-Control box.

Positive and Negative should from same source . Handheld remote is equivalent to Nauti-Control box wiring wise.
