How To Use The Nauti-Control Firmware Flasher

The Nauti-Control Firmware Flasher makes it easy to update your Nauti-Control controller to the latest firmware version without downloading any extra apps or tools.

All you need is a suitable USB cable and a computer with a compatible web browser. The flasher page automatically provides the latest available firmware and the required flashing settings.

What You Need

  • A Nauti-Control controller
  • A computer, usually Windows, Mac or Linux
  • A USB data cable
  • Access to the Nauti-Control Firmware Flasher page
  • A Chrome Browser

Most Nauti-Control controllers use a micro-USB port, although some versions may use USB-C. Please make sure the cable is a proper data cable, as some USB cables are charge-only and will not work for firmware updates.

You can open the flasher here:

Step 1: Access The USB Port

To update the firmware, you need to connect directly to the USB port on the main processor board.

Remove the PCB from the case. It should normally slide out of the enclosure. Once removed, you will see the USB port on the main processor board.

Depending on your controller version, this will usually be either a micro-USB or USB-C connector.

Step 2: Connect The Controller To Your Computer

Connect the USB cable from your computer to the USB port on the Nauti-Control controller.

If the controller is detected correctly, the firmware flasher page should be able to connect to it through the browser.

Step 3: Install The Windows Driver If Needed

If you are using Windows and your controller has a micro-USB port, you may need to install the serial port driver before the controller appears correctly.

You can download the driver here:

Download Windows serial port driver

After installing the driver, disconnect and reconnect the USB cable, then try the flasher again.

Step 4: Open The Firmware Flasher

Go to the Nauti-Control Firmware Flasher page in Chrome Browser:

The flasher page is kept up to date with the latest firmware. You do not need to manually download the firmware file or install any separate flashing software.

Step 5: Flash The Firmware

  1. Plug the controller into your computer using the USB cable.
  2. Open the Firmware Flasher page.
  3. Click the Flash button on the page.
  4. When prompted, select the serial device for the controller.
  5. Press and hold the small black BOOT button beside the USB port for a couple of seconds.
  6. The flashing process should then begin automatically.
  7. Wait for the process to complete before unplugging the controller.

The BOOT button is the small black button located to the right of the USB port on the main processor board.

After The Update

Once the firmware update has completed, disconnect the USB cable and refit the PCB into the case.

Power the controller back on as normal. The controller will now be running the latest available firmware from the flasher page.
